'Popular Senses' - New Original Music - Another Tune, Loads o' Layers - Electronic/Instrumental + Walkthrough

I've been trying to spend a little

more time on my daily songs, and add some more layering throughout, even in tiny little places. Of course, this is what I would do if I were composing more 'serious' tunes, but when I'm writing multiple songs a day for sharing here, I usually focus on a harmonic/rhythmic idea or a technique, rather than pure songwriting and production. The results with more layering are, of course, awesome, granted, a little more time consuming, but for the next few tunes, my goal will be to get them really expansive with various sounds, even if harmonically they're pretty straight forward.

Tracks 1, 2 and 3 provide the chords

that the rest of the song is built on, with 3 different sections, A (Blue), B (Pink), and C (White). The C section changes things up a bit, throwing in a G#minor (we're in Bminor), which adds a nice little dissonance that makes it stand apart from the rest of the tune. I think it needs something else on top, to help if flow from and to the chords around it though.

There are far too many tracks to go

through and just list, so I figured I'd just talk about the most important ones. Track 4 was a midi instrument, which I recorded into an audio clip so the pitch bends wouldn't be wonky (Ableton has a weird error in playback with pitch bends sometimes). It provides the distorted melodies that do the call and response sort of thing with the chords in Tracks 1 and 2. I also chopped up the clips a bit, to get those glitchy, random octave jumps over the held whole notes.
