'PGB' - Original Music - Throwback Tune, One of the First Songs I Wrote in Ableton - Electronic/Instrumental

I have some new ideas I've been

working on, but I didn't think any of them were particularly worth sharing, so today we'll do a throwback. In 2015, my friend/neighbor Anthony got a copy of Ableton Live from a music production class he was in, so we started writing and recording music together. Unfortunately, I didn't have my own version, so I was forced to wait until we could hang out to do anything, which became annoying, so I eventually found my own copy online, which allowed me to practice and learn in my free time. However, there were a number of songs we did early on that I still like, and think they would be fun to revisit and remix, and this is one of them.

Listen to PGB here.

This was probably the 3rd or 4th

'complete' song we did, and is still one I really like. The mix is, of course, terrible, as we essentially did nothing aside from adjusting volume levels, velocities, and panning, but I can look past that and enjoy the tune. The interesting thing here is that the snare hits are actually on the 1 and 3 of each measure, not the 2 and 4, though its hard to feel that way, so everything is a little off-center, which sort of drives thing along more. This was definitely an unintentional little auditory illusion, but is my favorite part of the song.

Enjoy today's throwback tune! Thanks for listening!
