I have to admit right off the bat,

Track 2, Bass Synth 'Bully'
the first 3 chords in the A part here came from me noodling around on the guitar earlier today, so technically, it was a little more than 5 minutes, but I took that idea, and gave myself five minutes to write two parts, one of which would include those 3 chords. However, here, I wrote two parts for 4 different instruments, with no sense of order or anything. So the second caveat is that after the 5 minutes, I just copy-pasta'd them around into various spots to make it a little more interesting for a post instead of just being a 16 bar exercise. I started with Track 1, which is where the guitar riff was used (I simplified the arpeggios to 3 notes here). It begins on D5 (we're in Dmin), to Bbadd9, repeating this twice, then a Bmin, F#, Bmin, and finally an Ebmin. This had a sort of classical vibe, particularly the last 4 chords, so I figured the B section would add to that as well (pictured in the brighter pink in the middle of Tracks 1 and 2... yea, I should've picked more varied colors, lol). This just plays a i, Vi in 4 keys, ascending a half step each time: Bmin, G : Cmin, Ab : C#min, A and finally Dmin and Bb, before returning to the A part.

Listen to Mega here...

I had the two sections in Track 1 mapped out pretty fast,

Track 4, 'Neon Lush Pad'
and figured next up would be the bass. I stuck with one of the ROLI sounds I have been using lately, 'Bully', which plays under both sections. The A part has a cool rhythm, which most notes being held for 3 beats, which gives it a cooler vibe. Track 3 was next, and adds a higher end synth line, which also has a weird rhythm; it mostly just arpeggiates triads, with each 3 note section separated by 2 eighth beats, giving it a different off-kilter feeling. I was running down the clock at this point, and figured a pad might be cool, which I dropped in, using the 'Neon Lush Pad' from that recent ROLI pack I got. This plays 6ths over the B section, and over parts of the A section, though there are some 5ths and 3rds thrown in. After the clock ran out, I organized the two parts as pictured in the first photo above. I think volume-wise, some stuff is too loud, and I had no time to EQ anything, so apologies if some things are a little intense. But I like the idea, sort of reminds me of that arpeggio based song in Scarface.
