This was another random session

ROLI Library
just playing around with the 'Cinematic Impact' pack I had purchased a few weeks ago. Considering it was like $8, I think it was a good deal seeing as I've been having fun exploring the sounds almost every night, haha. Basically every track here is from that pack, and nearly all of them are percussion tracks, aside from the last, which was just a random addition at the end. I don't really think I would ever try and make a song from this, but figured I'd share it, as this kind of stuff is what I spend a lot of time doing when I'm bored; not really songwriting, just goofing around and seeing what kind of wild noises can come out of my laptop, lol. Track 1 was sort of a kick drum, though it has a bit of timpani sound in there as well. I added Ableton's drum buss tool to pump up the low-end a bit more, and try and make it a little more 'kick'-like. Track 2 was intended to work like a snare, though it isn't really much of a snare sound. It has a sort of open-snare quality by default, although when I added the various effects, it got a little dirtier and weirder.

Track 3 was recorded while I was warping various settings

Track 7, the only non-percussion track
on another one of the instruments, though I don't remember which, and just provides the weird, glitchy noises over some parts. Track 4 uses an instrument called 'Timpani and Bells', though with the pitch bending effect built in, and a heavy noise gate, it got turned into a SUPER weird, glitched out stutter. Track 5's instrument is called 'Metal Dispersion' and adds a sort of spaced out bell sound that I wasn't sure what to do with, so I just used it at the start of certain sections. Track 6 was supposed to be a hi-hat, though apparently I accidentally deleted some of the effect automation, which made it sort of just a crunchy weird noise, and also boosted the volume more than intended. Finally, we have Track 7, the only instrument that isn't percussive, which uses the 'Brassy Monster' instrument, included in that ROLI pack. I figured it needed some harmonic movement, although I think if I were to continue with this idea, I might just make it all percussion instead.
