'Cool Piano 2' - New Original Music - Adding to Yesterday's Idea - Electronic/Instrumental + Walkthrough
Alright so this is still far from
anything near complete, but I figured I'd share updates along the way. I went through and reorganized all the various audio clips from yesterday's version, to make it a little more interesting. I fixed the levels of Track 9 (those bending synths), and had them fade out a little quicker, as it just cut off in yesterday's song. I added a few things, the first is a ROLI synth w/ LFOTool on it (gives it that sidechained vibe), recorded in Track 11, which just plays the chords from the piano. Track 12 was another addition, which uses a 'Hybrid Keys' preset, and also plays the same progression at a few points. Track 18 was a vocal instrument, the 'Frozen Voices' played in Decentsampler, which just accents the chord changes with a different timbre, same basic chords voiced a little differently.

I played a simple little drum beat, then added a Portal
effect, and recorded it into Track 19. This is too loud here, and a bit weird sounding, I think the high end is a little too piercing, so that'll need to be changed. Track 20 is a kick, though it's not super obvious, as I need un-muddy some of the other tracks so it can come through a bit more. Finally, I added Tracks 21 and 22, which add some little glitchy audio samples, used in the sort of crescendos before the drums come in at the beginning, and after the break towards the end. I've used a lot of sounds from these packs for this purpose, as they're filled with some really wild, digital, glitchy sounds. Overall, I like the direction this song is going, though there is a lot of tweaking that's needed, and probably some other instruments added.
