I completely forgot to share this

Track 5, 2nd Set of 8 Bars
the other day, after I had added a few things to it, and edited the harmony a bit. I still like the general idea, though it is clearly still a really rough outline, and needs quite a bit of tweaking before I'd be satisfied. I started with the harmony changes here; in the first version, it started on Bb to Eb, Gmin and Cmin, which just repeated. However, here, that plays the first time around, then the second time, Bb, Eb, Gmin and F. It's a tiny change overall, but it definitely makes it instantly feel less repetitive. The first time around, we get a bit of a weaker resolution, from the ii to the I (Cmin to Bb), and the second time, a much stronger, more obvious resolution from the V to the I. I initially made this change in Track 4, and after deciding I liked it, went through and edited the other two harmonic/melodic instruments to fit with the change.

Another change was in Track 6, where I doubled the little

Track 6 w/ Additional Accents on Bars 2 and 4
fills played over the second half of the song, as pictured to the left here. I liked the floaty, warbly quality to this instrument, and think having it play 2x as often works decently well, though the delay effect causes it to have a sort of long attack, so I may need to fix that. I also added an actual kick drum, as the drums in the first version were sort of somewhere between an open snare, toms, and a pitched up kick. This definitely helped define the low-end a lot more. However, it's a bit loud, so that'll need to be edited to fit with the levels of everything else. I also added a multi-band frequency splitter to the first drum track, as it's a combination of those kick/toms and hi-hats, and I wanted the hats to be a little louder, without boosting the kicks. This worked well, though I noticed that these tom/kick sounds are a bit too punchy at some points, so I'm going to play around with it and try and make it feel a little more even.

Hope you like the changes thus far!

I enjoyed that it had a nice rhythm and flow to my ears.
