I figured I'd take one more day off

Track 2, ROLI Bass Synth
from sharing any sort of series updating a single song, as I've had some random ideas the last few nights that have at least partially had some cool stuff that I'd to revisit. This started with just a two chord vamp sort of thing, using a ROLI pad sound, which plays the below line, recorded into audio in Track 3. The only change here is the F moves to E, and back again, while all the other notes sustain around it. However, the second time around, I changed the first and third chords to a C#maj7, the 2nd chord to an Amaj (with a C in the bass, though honestly that dissonance kinda disappeared, as it's mostly the higher notes you hear), and kept that final 4th chord the same. This is the full progression, 2 bar fill between every 2 repetitions where everything plays a Bb. Track 2 was just a spacey synth bass sound, which mostly outlines octaves of our root notes and some fifths. I don't love the timbre of this, as it has a sort of synth brass sound, but I think the actual part might work with something else. Track 4 was recorded from another ROLI synth, which again isn't something I love, but was more just so I could hear the sound of that synth in use.

Chords in Track 1, Audio in Track 3

Listen to Chils here...

Track 5 adds an interesting synth, which only plays over the

Track 7, Bass Synth 2
first 8 bars of each repetition. I think I just forgot to fill the rest in, haha, but I kinda like how it isn't used the whole time. Track 6 provides that really squishy, laser like synth sound that just hits on the downbeats with the chord changes. I was writing this on my laptop, and the high overtones on this synth were all I could hear, so I just played as if the most audible of them was my root note, but when I listened to this in the car, that is completely lost, and it just sounds like weird squishy noises occasionally hitting, haha. So I may edit this or find something better. Track 7 is another bass synth which plays the line pictured to the left here. I like it, but I'm not sure how much, hehe. So that may or may not be replaced. Finally, we have a four on the floor kick in Track 8, as I wasn't really sure whaat to add or where to go. I'll sleep on it and see if this brings anything out tomorrow.

Hope you enjoy!
