It's been a while since I did a

Track 3, BBC Symphony Tuba
song inspired by Splinterlands, so I sat down last night and came up with a few ideas. I started with the Harp from Spitfire Audio's BBC Symphony Orchestra set that I recently got (it's free if you do a survey and wait 2 weeks, save £50), and created 3 different little sections. I wanted to have a sort of combination of electronic and orchestral instruments, which I think will work. I wound adding some drums, just to see what happened, and frankly I don't love it, so I think future versions will be more focused on Track 1 and a few synth pads to harmonize with it and fill things out. Track 2 uses some of the Untuned Percussion Instruments from the BBC Symphony Pack, which I think work much better than the electronic kit and Nerve hi-hats, so I'll probably try and use these a little more. I imagined them just being used to accent certain things, with the rest of the instrumens taking up the bulk of the song. Track 3 is pictured above to the right, and uses the BBC Sym. tuba section. I like the general idea, but I think the progression needs some work, perhaps cut out some notes so it isn't just a straight 1/4 note thing.

Tracks 4 and 5 were the beginnings of my attempt to add

Track 9, Arpeggios
some synths. I like the harmonies, but don't particularly love the timbre of these instruments, so they will be replaced and altered to fit a bit better. Keep in mind, there are also no transitions, so it just flows from section to section, which definitely needs to be changed. Tracks 6, 7 and 8 provide the electronic drums, which, again, are gonna be gone. First off, they are just too low in volume, and any louder they just take up too much space compared to the very light harp tone, and secondly, I don't love the idea of some straight-forward pop rhythm, though that was how I first imagined this. I'll focus more on the orchestral vibe instead. Finally, we have Track 9, which adds some arpeggios on a marimba sort of sound. Again, I like the idea, but the instrument may be chaned.

Hope you like the idea so far! I'll work on this more, and see what happens!
