Mushroom Monday
I was out raking leaves because that's what we do after those gorgeous leaves wither and fall down, and there on the lawn was a mushroom. Until now, I have been unable to contribute to #mushroommonday. I only hope that @sketchandjam can identify this specimen. It's, um, past its prime. lol

These are ink caps, they are edible but can make you sick if eaten with alcohol. The taste isn't very interesting and they get slimy when cooked. They are best in soups.

Thank you! Although it wouldn't be much of a soup with just one!
When fresh they smell like radishes. I dont drink so i gave them a try once when i found a huge batch. The taste was very mild once cooked almost not worth it since the texture of them turns to mush after cooking. Also these guys absorb heavy metals so they have to be harvested from a clean area.

Oh, wow. Thanks!
It do likes like a Coprinus to me, but I am not 100% sure. (aka the ink cap). can you check 2-4 days later, is there the blank ink blurs on that spot instead of the mushroom? then, it was it for sure.
Thanks! I will try to find it. We had rain since I took the photo.
