THE BAD BATCH follows Arlen (Waterhouse) after she's left in a Texas wasteland fenced off from civilization. While trying to navigate the unforgiving landscape, Arlen is captured by a savage band of cannibals led by the mysterious Miami Man (Momoa). With her life on the line, she makes her way to The Dream (Reeves). As she adjusts to life in 'the bad batch' Arlen discovers that being good or bad mostly depends on who's standing next to you.

Wow, where do I begin?

This movie is weird and gritty, I came across it on a YouTube video of underrated movies. When I saw Keanu Reeves and Jason Momoa I knew I had to check it out. I like the occasional bizarre movie if it has an artistic spin to it. I am honestly surprised this wasn't directed by Quentin Tarantino, it really fits his style.

The Bad Batch is about a society of outcasts who have been put into a secluded section of the United States desert to be forgotten. They haven't necessarily done anything wrong, just not a favorable member of society.

I remember seeing a weird YouTube video with Jim Carey years ago as a traveling homeless person and didn't realize it was actually a teaser for this movie.

The movie focuses on Arlen (Suki Waterhouse) and her life as a member of The Bad Batch. Life in The Bad Batch is unrelenting and lawless. There is no government or law among The Bad Batch. In fact, the United States specifically claims the zone outside of the United State and without any regulations.

I really can't say I liked the movie, but I can't say I didn't like it either. It was without a doubt an experience and interesting, but filled with WTF. While it is rated only 5.3 I think it is definitely worth watching if you want something different and enjoy dark horror/thriller movies.

The scenery is simple yet elegant acting as a colorful backdrop to this dystopian nightmare.

I really liked Suki Waterhouse in this movie, I don't remember watching her in anything previously, but she nailed her character. Looking at her IMDb profile it seems this was one of her earlier movies and she had a lot of roles in 2018-2019 likely the result of her performance in The Bad Batch.
