The Sinner 3: Season Premiere
Every year we see many new entries in the serial panorama. But let's not forget that there are many successful TV series to come back with new seasons. This is the case of Homeland, reviewed a few days ago, but also many others. Today we talk about "The Sinner", back with its third season.
And this is already a miracle in itself. The series was in fact born as a self-conclusive miniseries of a single season. The authors, having noticed the success of the TV series itself, imagined that the formula could start an anthological TV series.
And so it was. After an excellent first season starring a wonderful Jessica Biel, a second season with the extraordinary Carrie Coon, the third season charges the responsibility on a male protagonist like Matt Bomer. The common thread, the recurring character of the 3 seasons of The Sinner remains Bill Pullman, the detective called to investigate all the crimes told.
This time more than a murder is an accident to start the story. An apparent accident but one that slowly begins to take on the connotations of a murder, though quite random. The images that conclude the episode show us how it is not necessary to get blood on your hands to be a murderer. Much less is enough, just the awareness of being even for a moment a God who can choose whether to let a person live or die and choose the second way. A crossroads from which it is impossible to go back.
A once again calibrated and powerful debut that makes us feel good about the rest of the season.

Ogni anno assistiamo a tante new entry nel panorama seriale. Non dimentichiamo però che sono tante le serie tv di successo a ritornare con nuove stagioni. E' il caso di Homeland, recensita qualche giorno fa, ma anche di tante altre. Oggi parliamo di "The Sinner", tornata con la sua terza stagione.
E questo è gia di per se stesso un miracolo. La serie nasceva infatti come una miniserie autoconclusiva di una sola stagione. Gli autori, constatato il successo della serie tv stessa, hanno immaginato che la formula potesse dare il via ad una serie tv antologica.

Dopo un eccellente prima stagione con protagonista una stupenda Jessica Biel, una seconda stagione con la straordinaria Carrie Coon, la terza stagione carica le responsabilità su un protagonista maschile come Matt Bomer. Il filo conduttore, il personaggio ricorrente delle 3 stagioni di The Sinner resta Bill Pullman, il detective chiamato ad investigare su tutti i delitti raccontati.
Questa volta più che un omicidio è un incidente ad avviare la storia. Un incidente apparente ma che pian piano inizia ad assumere i connotati di un omicidio, per quanto abbastanza casuale. Le immagini che concludono l'episodio ci mostrano come non è necessario sporcarsi le mani di sangue per essere un assassino. Basta molto meno, basta la consapevolezza di essere anche solo per un momento un Dio che potendo scegliere se far vivere o morire una persona sceglie la seconda strada. Un bivio da cui è impossibile tornare indietro.
Un esordio ancora una volta calibrato e potentissimo che ci fa stare sereni sul proseguio della stagione.

The first season I thought it was great, many secrets that had the right time to be revealed, unfortunately I have not been able to see the other two seasons, but I must make time and catch up with this series.
I had hesitated to watch second season until I heard good reviews about it.
The third season isn't streaming on Netflix in Turkey yet, but thanks to you, I'll watch it without hesitating when it is available.
I watched the third episode of this season 3 last night. It's disappointing me this season. This case doesn't have the strength or the level of mystery, that if I had the powerful first season and the good season two.
