Here is my entry for the Triple AAA contest --> FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION (#01): "Favorite Directors" You guys should check it out and participate

Director of week #3: Martin Scorsese

I'm a big fan of old movies where the plots revolved mainly around gangsters and criminals where we could see all that dynamic of drug trafficking and intimidation that dominated New York and other cities in the United States, hence there created a special preference for everything that Martin Scorsese does or produces. Yes, as my choice for the third week of the contest created by @wiseagent I want to give you my opinion on one of the best films by one of the best directors in the entire film industry, a director who is not afraid to play with the characters and include intense plots full of drama and plot twists that make simple stories in completely entertaining films.

The Wolf of Wall Street is an absolutely wonderful film, the perfect combination of humor and drama, a film that shows that even the most conservative and dramatic director is able to take a risk and create a film entirely out of his comfort zone to kick Hollywood and prove to it that he is still one of the best in the business. The first thing I will say is that this film should have been worth Leonardo DiCaprio to win an Oscar, his performance is totally wonderful, exquisite, splendid and any other adjective you can imagine, this actor manages to embody a man extremely determined and intelligent but full of vices that led them to lose control and end up in the street with practically nothing of what one day built.

The plot of this film takes us to know the life of someone who was one of the most prominent and successful stockbrokers in the United States, a man who through his intelligence and audacity managed to take advantage of a void in the rules of trading to create a millionaire empire that managed to position itself as the most successful company for a long time. However, although Jordan Belfort achieved through his intelligence to create a millionaire empire, he also managed to ruin everything thanks to his excessive fun and use of drugs. This was a man who ran his company as a traveling circus where everything was allowed and possible, his company was basically a constant festival of abuse where his partners and friends could make parties, orgies, use all kinds of drugs and above all organize all kinds of "peculiar" shows, something that along with his incredible success put him in the sights of the FBI who later discovered his clandestine business and took him to the precipice from which he could not leave.

The whole film unfolds in a wonderful way through super fun scenes where we see all the eccentricities that Jordan Belfort and his friends did on a daily basis, eccentricities that were constantly taken very far by a group of people who had no problem spending money to have fun and have a good time. Yes, here we will constantly see totally bizarre moments in the life of Jordan Belfort where we can explore in detail the life and work of one of the most unusual stockbrokers in the United States, a man dedicated to making money by any means possible, a man who dedicated himself to living without personal rules and breaking those who wanted to impose a lifestyle.

Undoubtedly this film is an unstoppable storm of euphoria where we see the most amusing and shocking moments of the life of a complete character, Scorsese manages to create a tremendous plot rhythm that traps us in an atmosphere of perversion and constant vices, but that is also seasoned by dramatic contrasts that reflect the reality of a man who had a lot of shady business, business that did not care to hide. The film as I said should have been awarded because rarely can we witness something so well done, something created to entertain but to reflect a reality that although it seems overacted was not because its own protagonist was who collaborated to recreate the most memorable situations of the film.

This is a masterpiece of the art of combining comedy with drama, I had never seen a film that managed to amuse me but make me reflect at the same time, something that this film does very easily thanks to a splendid use of the characters and the creation of a dynamic plot simply irresistible and that lets us see the best and worst of being on top of the world. Scorsese is a director with dozens of wonderful movies but this is undoubtedly my favorite for the incredible work and subtlety in developing its plot and characters, this film is a delight without equal.
