Hoy quiero mostraros la importancia, en la fotografía, de la perspectiva y la profundidad de campo. Así mismo os mostraré como trasformarla.

Paseando junto a la catedral de La Laguna, en una tarde tranquila, encontré esta extraña luz romboidal y estas sombras sobre la fachada. Sin ver el objeto, indirectamente deducimos su presencia.

Al pasar junto a la palmera, llamó mi atención el contraste del tronco rugoso, como la piel de un paquidermo y en primer plano, con la fachada blanca de la catedral al fondo. Este contraste me pareció muy interesante y paré para hacer unas fotografías.

Hice algunas tomas y, al verlas, me di cuenta de que lo interesante y extraño que era esa luz central con forma de rombo.

Decidí hacer una fotografía que remarcara esta luz central.

Modifiqué la profundidad de campo para hacer el fondo más difuso y resaltar así el plano anterior.

Todos los pintores conocen que la vista del espectador se posará primero sobre los lugares mas definidos y contrastados. Así funciona nuestro cerebro cuando tiene que interpretar una imagen. Luego, la vista recorrerá la fotografía, o la pintura, para buscar mas información.

Al ser humano nos gusta el equilibrio. Con esta idea busqué que las líneas fueran perfectamente verticales y horizontales. Con la herramienta transformar modifiqué la perspectiva para que las líneas formaran cuadrados perfectos. De esta manera, conseguí una fotografía similar a la que habría obtenido si la hubiera tomado con un potente teleobjetivo.

Today I want to show you the importance, in photography, of perspective and depth of field. Also I will show you how to transform it.

Strolling next to the Cathedral of La Laguna, on a quiet afternoon, I found this strange rhomboidal light and these shadows on the facade. Without seeing the object, we indirectly deduce its presence.

When passing by the palm tree, my attention was drawn to the contrast of the rough trunk, like the skin of a pachyderm and in the foreground, with the white facade of the cathedral in the background. I found this contrast very interesting and stopped to take some pictures.

I made some shots and when I saw them, I realized how interesting and strange that central light was in the shape of a diamond.

I decided to make a photograph that would highlight this central light.

I modified the depth of field to make the background more diffuse and thus highlight the previous plane.

All painters know that the view of the viewer will settle first on the most defined and contrasted places. This is how our brain works when it has to interpret an image. Then, the view will go through the photograph, or the painting, to look for more information.

We like balance when we are human. With this idea I looked for the lines to be perfectly vertical and horizontal. With the transform tool, I modified the perspective so that the lines formed perfect squares. In this way, I got a photograph similar to what I would have obtained if I had taken it with a powerful telephoto lens.

Cómo lo hago

Hice las fotografías con mi iPhone X. Para la edición utilicé la aplicación Snapseed y para la firma digital usé la App Watermark.

Todo lo que hice en mi teléfono móvil, no usé la computadora en absoluto.

Los dibujos los hice en el iPad con el programa Sketches.

For the photography I use my iPhone X. For edition I use the Snapseed application and for the digital signature the Watermark app.

Everything I did on my mobile phone, I did not use the computer at all.

For the drawings, I use the Sketches program and paint them on the tablet.
