Monomad - Orbea

One of my stinky plants - Orbea Variegata. It bloomed for me last fall for the first time ever! And as always I just had to check if the flowers are as stinky as they say.

Yes they are!!


In case you are not aware, they smell like decomposing meat or some dead and rotten roadkill.
Not a pleasant thing at all! But the flowers are stunning and the plant looks cool on its own too. Plus my cat likes to hunt all the flies the smell attracts. So it is a win win for everyone :p

Wow. What an interesting plant. It does look so unique and very beautiful, but I dont think thst i would take that smell.
