My mum is one of those people they call a green thumb no matter what sought of flower plant it be once it's in her control it turns into gold as the saying goes , her home in the front and backyard it's full of all types of flowers and cactaceae and today i am going to show you just some of her cactaceae.

I like to show them to you in Black and White as i feel they look more defined in there architectural structure. Cactaceae are a family mostly of succulent plants adapted to dry environments.

Luckily that these cactaceae are of low maintenance as my mum has so many of them and apart from all her other plants she would be in that garden 24/7 . She always gets get compliments about her garden by people walking by the front of her home.

These ones i am showing you are her main pride and joy as they are the largest of them all. Their are about 1750 known species of cactaceae and i would say my mum would have about 500 different cactaceae and succulent plants around her home it is a real joy wondering around her yard every time i visit her there seems to be more varieties she has accumulated. Always enjoy my visit there having coffee amongst her rain forest.

That sounds like a perfect visit )) Because, when I visit my mother's house (it is a building in 80 km from her "home" with a big garden where nobody lives), I always try to help her in the garden as much as I can. And it looks like a total "workout" for me, everything in rush... but I'd like so much just to sit under a tree and listen to the sounds. Sometimes I can to this also, once in a few years.
Amyway, I'm happy for you :)

Beautiful photos @hangin although I would love to see THEM ALL in colour. Congratulate your mother for me. No wonder she gets comments all the time from people walking by.

Wow! Your mom really has quite the green thumb!!!

And you have upped your game with these amazing close-ups! The superb shots show off the minute details and the eye-popping sharpness that can really bite you. I am thinking that the black and white really nailed this pairing of the post and the tag.

I am not sure they would look as detailed in color. Just my thoughts. Great shots, Angelo!
