MAPXV Daily Report, Free Tokens & News - Delegation-Mining Changes in Effect - 12 Oct 2019
A good week so far, and our weekly report is out tomorrow, but today is about another matter.
MAPXV News
Our weekly accounts post is due tomorrow, but wanted to separate it from the issue of delegation-mining. Thank you to those of you who have given feedback to last week's post, whether as a comment or on Discord.
There were two issues. The second one was straightforward, in that the delegation to MAPXV shall be capped at a maximum total of 30,000 SP from now on. Those of you with modest delegations can still increase them, but do make a note of the new limit - if in doubt, please ask first as it's annoying wasting a delegation and then waiting 5 days to undelegate.
The other issue was about changing the mining-rate from 3600 to 4200 SP-days. Everyone who responded agreed this was a sensible change given the new economic conditions on the Steem blockchain, so thanks again for supporting this.
So, from now on, delegations will earn at a rate of 4200 SP-days. This means that 100 SP will earn 1 MAPXV token every 42 days. As this is a long time to wait, I shall pay these at 0.5 tokens per 21 days. I shall also adjust other modest delegations so that they receive half-tokens more frequently than they would whole tokens. Almost everyone has a number that divides into 4200, so few adjustments are needed. I shall start the new clock on everyone's next token payout - for many this is today!
Lastly, as a sneak preview of the accounts, the last couple of days have seen some good sales of the MAPXV token and we have powered up a large chunk of SP. As our voting is SP is really disproportionately large - yes, I know, it's great but - I am also delegating out some that will bring some further income. As I've said before, managing this fund involves seeking a balance between all parties with a stake.
