Solo's Weekly Picks: Vehicles
This week I look at posts of cars and motorcycles that others have shared on Hive. I have always had an interest in cars, I cant help but to modify them just like my computers and other gadgets. Anyways its great to see others post about one of mans greatest inventions.
Here are five minnows I curated that are posting about vehicles. Being it street cars, sports cars, race cars and even some motorcycles.
Can A Ferrari Swim? by @zacknorman97
https://peakd.com/hive-174578/@zacknorman97/can-a-ferrari-swim
@zacknorman97 shows us some pictures of flooded cars in London. A water pipe burst causing the road way to get flooded. One of the vehicles stuck in this water is a red Ferrari. Sucks for all of those that got their cars flooded.
Busy Road by @godingame
https://peakd.com/hive-148441/@godingame/busy-road
@godingame shows us a newly constructed road named Barasat-Barrackpore. It used to be a rough road but now its well taken care of. @godingame talks about how they take their bike out on the new road and enjoy driving it.
Elon Musk Claims Fully Self-Driving Cars Are Coming Soon by @sauravrungta
https://peakd.com/hive-148441/@sauravrungta/elon-musk-claims-fully-self-driving-cars-are-coming-soon
@sauravrungta talks about how one day we will be able to enter our cars at the end of a days work and it will automatically start driving you home. We are getting close as @sauravrungta talks about with Elon Musks auto pilot systems. They share a video of Elon talking about upcoming auto pilot features. Im looking forward to these upcoming features as well, I think Tesla is leading in the autonomous driving category.
Drift Season Starting by @greddyforce
https://peakd.com/photography/@greddyforce/drift-season-starting
@greddyforce shares with us some photography of cars drifting at the Laitse rally park. It was quite hot and was glad he was not the one sitting in the drift cars without air conditioners. There are many pictures to check out in the post.
The World Of Formula 1 by @mrsahil99
https://peakd.com/hive-161155/@mrsahil99/the-world-of-formula-1
@mrsahil99 takes us into a world of high speed race cars and the teams that maintain them. They discuss how quick of a reaction time formula 1 have to be. Three times faster than the average human reaction time. They talk about how they are a fan of McLaren team and their favorite driver Daniel Ricciardo is joining the McLaren F1 team, next year.
Seeing others vehicle posts remind me how much I like the mechanical side of the science. Theres alot of engineering that has gone into vehicles, and in the last hundred years the progress we have made is pretty amazing.
Thats my curation of five minnows on the Hive Blockchain for the week. Stay tuned next week to see the next five of Solo's picks.

Thanks for the mention there, mate! Your support and words mean a lot, truly. I really enjoyed writing that post on Ferrari's history with four/all-wheel drive, though a bit of me died inside when seeing that poor FF stuck in the floods :-(
Ah glad to curate your post. Yeah sucks to see such nice cars ruined by a little water. The car will probably never be the same again. Thanks alot for doing a post on its history.
Cheers for the lovely comment. I'm sure someone would be able to bring this poor FF back to its good spirits again. I've seen people transform wrecked cars that would normally scrapped into their former selves again. The electronics on the FF would need to be changed, and the mechanical bits need drying out. Once that's done, it's basically as good as new :-D
I've seen miracles worked on flooded cars. But also heard of nothing but problems once a car has been flooded. Maybe that Ferrari got lucky.
Ah, that's quite true. I'm guessing this FF is going need to be taken apart and checked thoroughly for even the most minute of problems.
Thanks a ton for the mention. I feel honored at this moment. As new Hiver, this is huge for me.
..and your absolutely right about the advancement in the Engineering aspect of cars. Especially, F1 cars where, every tiny details can be vital
Ah nice, glad you found the Hive community. Its amazing how far they have come. And now with the electric versions its truely an amazing feat of engineering.
Oh Yess! Tesla especially has made its way into Norway. To a current state, Norway is the best selling market for Tesla's. The Government of Norway offers benefits to its citizens for opting for an electric car. Also, the streets of Oslo are lined up charging stations and its free of cost.
Oh that's great Norway invested in electrical car infrastructure. Hoping other countries will do the same.
The middle east countries are slowly implementing. Hoping in a decade we go e-cars.
