Cancellation Fee for SP leases
It has come to our attention that a user has been actively exploiting a memo vulnerability on our side, creating leases and cancelling them right after to profit from additional memos from us.
To mitigate this attack vector, we have now decided to introduce a cancellation fee for STEEM POWER leases.
For now, the fee will be 0.010 STEEM and is deducted from the refunded STEEM. With rising STEEM price, this amount will likely be reduced, as it's only intended to avoid losses, not to be a source of income.
Please note that this fee will only apply to cancelled or unfulfilled leases.
If you have your lease request fulfilled, only the standard 10% escrow fees and conditions apply.
To avoid having to pay the cancellation fee, please make sure that the APR you offer is attractive to delegators, to ensure the lease has a good chance to be fulfilled.
Of course, a higher APR tends to have a higher chance of fulfilment, but you also have the option to check which APRs are usually attractive enough for investors.
We want to thank everyone for understanding our reasons to do this, and are looking forward to the promising future of the Steem blockchain!
Soon we will be announcing a full migration of leasing services to dlease.io which will use different memo logic, at which point we will potentially be able to reduce this cancellation fee to a tighter value.

Sry that I laugh about this, but this guy must be really desperate if he is farming 0.002 SBD from minnowbooster memos and cancelling them :D that's a lot of effort for basically nothing, unless he does it with a bot 24/7.
I think he was botting with several accounts, we thought we just weren't making money on SBD vote selling due to HF, but turns out was this guy, I mean how low man, things like this really make me sad to see the low calibre of some people on Steem. Payouts to buildteam stakeholders are not going to be great this period, so affected alot of people. It is pretty riduculous and somewhat funny, lol he even told guiltyparties he will stop scamming minnowbooster, loool admitted to scamming.

We didn’t have monitoring setup for cancelled leases as we didn’t consider cancellations to be an attack vector until now.
I do not finished any cancellation,I'm always failed, and alway in their discord to report . at end, all order is cancel by themself(it's good news for me).
i cancel order just to make high APR order to replace the old low APR order,because high APR can be match as early as possible.

i hate to be the nag but even if todays payment came through yesterdays' is still missing ... so that's 0.172 short ... i dont know how you usually fix that but im kinda hoping you DO fix that ?
i wont cancel the lease because i feel the people using your service dont need to be deprived and punished because your system had a glitch (let's call it that) but its still 0.172 short, the amount is irrelevant, even if it was 0.001 :)
