Calendar of Steem Meetups & Events @ 1 November 2019

November is here and SteemFest 4 is just around the corner...

This year the event is being held in Bangkok, Thailand from 6 - 10 November.

If you haven't booked yet and have a last minute urge to go @saramiller of the @gardenofeden project has just posted that they are unfortunately now not able to go and are therefore offering their 5 tickets at a discount...

If you are going to SteemFest have fun, and if you get a chance do check out some of the events being organised around SteemFest including @waybeyondpadthai's Boba tea party, and the three meetups organised by TravelFeed in Bangkok and Chiang Mai.

Steem activity is bubbling up in Ukraine. @rollie1212 mentioned in his Steem2020 contest post that he is involved in organising a meetup there at the end of November. If you are based in Ukraine do check in with @rollie1212 or @teamukraine for more details.

On a wider note @theycallmedan is looking for crypto conferences to speak about Steem at.

Meetup.com can be a great tool for organising Steem meetups particularly for bringing in new people that are not already involved in Steem.

There are 17 Steem Meetup groups listed around the world... Austin, Belgrade, Berlin, Hamburg, Los Angeles, Louisville CO, Munich, Nairobi, New York, Nürnberg, Olympia WA, Philadelphia, Montreal Québec, San Bernardino CA, Seoul, Toronto, Zürich...

Unfortunately many of the meetup groups appear to be inactive now. If anyone lives in any of the inactive areas I would love to hear from you if you might be able to help reactivate the sleeping groups...

Wow, Steem is a dead zone now.
Some of the names on there show how small the pool is to choose from. We're a community of about 300 people at this point. The world moved on a couple years ago I'm afraid.

Hahaha. Don't be afraid. Anything can happen. Let's keep our fingers crossed. But steemit is really dry. Just dropped by to see what has been going on. I must really commend those who didn't relent but have been making posts back to back. Good job guys. Gone are those days of thousands of comments on a post and the likes. That is life for you. Our upvotes, do they still count?

Steemit in Nigerian SIN deserves a mention as well. With this kind of post it's clear you don't care about Africans on the platform. Forgive me for generalizing this but it's obvious. Steemit in Nigeria has has done a wonderful Job over the past three years. Some respect and encouragement please!

I have not come across any currently planned Steem events in Africa. You organise them, I will list them.

@melissaofficial What happened to SIN3 please? I saw the adverts and dates but it seemed to come and go and I never saw any posts from the people I followed after SIN2 which looked absolutely brilliant. Just interested to know how it all went :-)

..cool Job, thank you, just what i m looking for..I m good in bringing people together..that’s because I have a little shop in Berlin and it’s a communicative place, I m also thinking about accepting steem and may other cryptos, so it’s a perfect occasion to get in touch with interested people...I will start to meet the Berlin-group, thx for the contact..when doing such an event, of course there have to come experienced steemians, I m a small fish, but my power is the philosophical part, the suitability for everyday‘‚a use and things like this..anyway, great!..up..resteemed..

Yeah, I sure there's another steemian in Auckland somewhere. As for the capital Wellington, I know of about 300 Twitter users and a few Facebook and / or LinkedIn members, ones I'm connected to; as for seteemians, I guess I'm it!

Yes! I wondering, what if Indian government remove the prohibition for Crypro, so we can also welcome steem fest in India as well. Because all around the world people accepted virtual money slowly.
