What A Fine Day!

The day started fine for me with a beautiful sunrise during breakfast. The sun usually rises at around 8:30 AM. Taking photos of the sunrise is the first thing I do before sitting down for breakfast. In January the sun is now between the 2 houses on the hill and they are continuously moving towards the west side of the Miditerranean Sea.

At the end of Spring, the sun continues to move towards the west for the sunset and it can still shine at around 10:00 PM that it reaches the other side of our guest bedroom. Can you imagine the sunset at 10:00 PM in Summer months?

So today, I put on my sneakers, the temperature in the morning had been 14°C and it was fine to go down the valley since I have so many errands (again!) to do.

First, I drove to the Post Office and checked the Post Box, we use post box since in Andalucia the posts are not delivered to the houses on the campo (countryside). I was expecting the mail of my american girlfriend and I only got it today though it was mailed beginning of December. At any rate, I felt happy it arrived.

Then, I went to the chinese store to get containers for the logs we use for the wood burner. I found these sturdy and flexible buckets which are nice to have since they do not make falling dirt from the olive woods.

I visited an old friend´s garden center to get some succulents for the cactus garden. I took photos of some of the plants he offers and below are those images.

The garden center also offers big trees like this old olive tree and one can order specific plants and trees and delivers it and can offer service like planting the ordered tree. My last & final errand was to bring the bed covers to the cleaning service called Lavanderia. It was an exhausting morning but am glad I made all the errands.

This post is joining the fun challenge of my friend Denise of @dswigle. If you would like to join, please use the tag #marketfriday as your 1st tag. Thank you Denise dear for this initiative!

Yeah @mers this time of the year is one of the beautiful periods down there in the south of Andalucía, it is likely warmer then in my home country Germany where I am mostly every two or three years for having christmas with the rest of the family like this year, now I´m just waiting to get back to Andalucía in the last week of January I´m missing all the light and the sunsets at hte beach area.
So enjoy your time there ;)

Thanks....I´ll be going back to Austria around March and am excited to have Spring already so I could garden there. Nice that you dropped-by. Indeed, I should enjoy the sunrise and the sunset while still here in Andalucia. Have a nice day!

Oh, what a great idea to put the wood in those bins that make it easier to store and to carry with the handles.

He offered up a lot of very beautiful succulents. Which ones did you end up going with? I would have been tempted to buy something that has beautiful flowers. No sense in wasting all that sunshine, right? :)

I am sure you are all settled in now and Austria is only a dream away. Funny how we can travel all over the world, but, home is still where we long to be. Even in the coldest part of the year.

I have never been to Andalusia, but, I bet it is so very beautiful! I can see you had a busy day, and I hope things settle down and you can enjoy those gorgeous sunsets! I look forward to seeing more of it!!

Thank you so much for the effort put into making this post!

#MarketFriday loves you!
