Market Friday: something colourful for cheering up, เดินดูของสีสวยสดให้ชื่นใจ

This is my entry to #marketfriday created by our lively and generous @dswigle. I must say the last few days life has been rather volatile just like the down swing in crypto market! I am still in the process of retrieving photos from my crashed mobile phone. This has been very time consuming and I had to get a new flash drive too. Yesterday I had a changed of mind; I was going to post something about looking for a new camera but those photos look too dark. After the sudden shock in the crypto prices, I ought to bring more cheerful and colourful photos to brighten the atmosphere. So, I have to check out the new display in my favourite mall. The staff has just finished the display for the Christmas and New Year gifts. They did a very good job and I did enjoy drinking all the colourful vibes from these beautiful objects.

There is something uplifting about gold and silvery objects. They are so shiny and attractive; those white crystal glasses decorated with silver and gold rims look very glamorous. I do wonder how to use these fragile glasses without breaking them and how to clean them without chipping away the decoration. I know it could be rather boring being too practical and realistic sometimes.

To my surprise, people who come to this mall continue to spend money on expensive meals and long queues could be seen in supermarket section. This means the upper middle class income earners could still maintain their spending power. Many people continue to buy brand name goods. This is quite a big contrast to the countryside where shops, restaurants and hotels all suffer from the economic lockdown. I do hope government’s financial packages would start to kick in as soon as possible.

I could see a mixture of Chinese influence on auspicious symbols on some objects. We are rather superstitious and believe in the power of symbols and colours. These auspicious decorative objects could bring good luck, success, fortune and longevity to people in the house. So, these make ideal gifts for those who already have everything.

ตอนแรกเราคิดว่าจะเขียนเรื่องไปดูกล้องถ่ายรูป แต่รูปภาพนั้นดูไม่ดีเลย มีแต่สีดำจึงไม่สดชื่น เราก็เลยเปลี่ยนเป็นไปถ่ายรูปที่ห้างสรรพสินค้าเซ็นทรัล ไปดูแผนกของแต่งบ้าน เพราะพนักงานเขาจัดของและสินค้าใหม่เรียบร้อยแล้ว ตอนนี้เขาเตรียมของสำหรับขาย ตอนช่วงเทศกาลคริสต์มาสและปีใหม่แล้ว เราคิดว่าเราควรจะลงรูปสวยสดใส เพื่อปลอบใจตนเอง หลังจากที่ตกใจเรื่องราคาคริปโตถูกถล่ม จนแดงไปทั้งหน้าจอมาสองวันแล้ว เราขายทำกำไรไม่ทันเลยอดไ้ด้เงินมาซื้อของใช้ที่อยากได้ เราเดินดูของตกแต่งบ้านมี่เป็นสีทอง และสีเงินแล้วรู้สึกดีมาก ความเงางามทำให้เรามีพลังมากขึ้น เราชอบพวกเครื่องใช้เงินที่มีคริสตัลด้วย พอโดนแสงไฟ มันจะเปล่งประกายสะกดสายตาคนได้ มันก็คล้ายกับนั่งดูดาวในตอนกลางคืน แสงสีมีพลังและจิตใจของเราก็รับรู้ถึงพลังพวกนี้ได้ด้วย

เราค่อนข้างแปลกใจที่เห็นคนที่มาที่ห้างนี้ มีกำลังซื้อมากเหมือนเดิม พวกเขายังใช้เงินกินอาหารในร้านแพงได้โดยไม่ต้องคิดมาก ในซุปเปอร์ก็มีคิวยาวมาก เขาจ่ายเงินกันแบบไม่ต้องยั้งคิดกันเลย เห็นแล้วเราก็งงมาก หลายๆคนก็ยังหาซื้อสินค้าแบรนด์เนมมาใช้แต่งตัว เราสงสัยมากว่าเขาทำงานอะไรจึงไม่ได้รับ ผลกระทบจากการล็อคดาวน์เลย เราก็คิดว่ทางห้างคงไม่มีปัญหาในการขายสินค้าสวยๆราคาแพงๆหรอก ลูกค้าที่นี่มีกำลังซื้อมากจริงๆ นี่ต่างจากสภาพการณ์ในต่างจังหวัดมาก ทุกร้านขายของ ร้านอาหารและโรงแรมต่างบ่นกันถึงเศรษฐกิจที่ไม่กระเตื้องขึ้นเลย เราก็หวังว่าทางรัฐบาลจะหาทางกระตุ้นเศรษฐกิจได้อย่างทันท่วงที เราก็ได้แต่หวังว่าฝ่ายที่ไปรอดจะกันมาช่วยประคองส่วนอื่นๆที่กำลังพยายามไปให้รอดด้วยกัน พวกเราคนธรรมดาคงต้องประหยัดและอดทนมากขึ้นในปีหน้า

Hopefully that right will overcome might and that karmic rules would keep those trouble makers and corrupt politicians in check so that our country has a better chance of avoiding the future economic difficulties and global political instability.
