Welcome to my cloud contest entry for this week. Its my hometown seen with my head up high to the most wonderful blue. Rotterdam is gorgeous.
Description De Kop van Zuid is a new district in Rotterdam, located on the south bank of the Nieuwe Maas opposite the center of the city. The district is quite young and consists of the Wilhelmina Pier and the V bordered by the Rosestraat / Rotterdam-Dordrecht railway line on the one hand and the Hilledijk / Hillestraat / Rijnhaven on the other hand.

The Markthal in Rotterdam is a residential and commercial building with indoor market hall, situated between the streets Dominee Jan Scharpstraat, Grotemarkt, Westnieuwland and Verlengde Nieuwstraat. The opening took place on October 1, 2014 by Queen Máxima.

The Wilhelminakade is a street on the left bank of the Maas in Rotterdam. It has a rich history and many high-profile high-rise buildings were realized in the first years of the 21st century. There are many cruise ships that give the passengers the chance to spend a day in Rotterdam.

The Erasmus Bridge is next to the Willems Bridge the second bridge over the Nieuwe Maas in the center of Rotterdam in the Port of Rotterdam and is named after the Dutch priest and humanist Erasmus. The bridge connects the Kop van Zuid district with the center on the north side of the river. The Erasmus Bridge was designed by Ben van Berkel (UNStudio) and delivered in 1996. The 284 meter long cable-stayed bridge has a 139 meter high asymmetrical steel pylon. The bridge owes this to the nickname "De Zwaan". Between the Kop van Zuid and the pylon there is an 89 meter long bascule bridge for ships that cannot pass under the cable-stayed bridge. This bascule bridge is the largest and heaviest bascule bridge in Western Europe.
