Lockdown in South Africa is just a power grab.
It was completely unnecessary as you have a young population and by the time you locked down it was clear this cure was worse than the disease.

Israel has almost completely ended the lockdowns due to people power.

Is the lockdown anywhere else different? It's not a national thing. This is a global political imposition of technocratic tyranny. It's application will vary as local circumstances do, but it's obvious from regularization of zoning regulations in rural counties in the US and China that there is an underlying coordination ongoing that is extranational.

The immense flows of wealth to investors through national banks reveals the basic outline of the global state: a two-tiered class structure, with nothing in between. It's a meme, because actual science reveals that's not a societal mechanism that can persist. The banksters expect to simply eliminate the members of society as they are forced to aggression by the GINI being so distorted, and thus to achieve their green utopia.

But, like all utopian collectives, it will fail because of the unexpected rational reactions of folks to the caprice of overlords. Folks will adopt the nascent decentralized means of production that are currently the cutting edge of technological advance across industry. Rather than becoming starving hordes of proles a la Soylent Green, folks forced to adopt individual production of necessities and advanced tech alike will become actually wealthy - and more secure because firearms have been obsolete as security tech for centuries, but have remained the go to for overlords because the obsolete imperial force they seek is optimally projected by thugs with guns.

Ten years from now, all humanity will be generally far more wealthy, and free.
