Wedding has always been a gala event in everyone's life. The Occassion of bonding of 2 souls occupy a special place with friends and relatives coming over to meet and greet each other. In India, we have a culture of arranging reception post the marriage. It is a kind of inviting all the known one for Dinner so that to shower blessing on the newly wed couple.

However, the reception becomes the most important point of conversation among the entire masses. As people do visit to enjoy the dinner with different delicies. The Wedding Reception have multiple Menu to choose from.

Wedding reception were generally of a buffet lunch/ dinner , where the invitee can eat as much as they can. Standing behind the table were the serving boys, who made sure to keep a check on the food items of each of their buffet.

Once people visit the reception area, they hand over the gift or bless the newly wed and move directly towards the eating point with multiple array of items to choose from. It has similar menu as having in a big restaurant, with 3 course meal starting from Soup, Starters, Main Course and Dessert People do make sure to enjoy of the items, so that not to return home empty stomach. atleast they get something for free. So India people's menu starts with Soup first

A Big bowl of tomato soup and bread crunches to increase the appetite. People starts with it gradually make their towards the main food item. But before that they have to try some Starters In some regions we like to keep it simple as Litti Chokha

The stuffed flour balls kept on the buffet table looks elegantly as each of them is buttered properly to increase craving for more. Not sure about others but it does mine.

And something quite unique to give it company is tumbler full of Chokha.

The best thing to compliment Litti.

Next Up is to slowly make way towards the main course items, which has variety of items to choose from. But before that, one need to pick a plate, which were kept properly at one corner of the Food stall area.

Starting the the Main course with Salad tray kept precisely with different veggies and salad item. Making a point for all, as everyone needs to have a piece before starting their meal.

Of all the salad, I noticed everyone have a common liking in Lemon and Chilli may be the lemon juice may help in faster digestion. I think so as it worked many a time on me.

The Main course has a lot of item to choose from. I belive any such reception has a paradise for Veggies as they wide variety to choose from. Mostly filled with Vegetarian food items. That may have multiple option to choose from.

Mix Veg

Chopped Potato, Cauliflower, and other veggies fried and cooked to give good blend of taste .

Panner (Cottage Cheese)

Let me tell you this particular item have many different facets,and quite common everywhere. No lunch /Dinner or any eating event can conclude without having Paneer items. It has so much in demand.

There are other items too, with spinach, lentils, and few other item. These can be mixed up with Rotis, Rice to enjoy it perfectly.

Anyhow no remorse for Non-Veg lovers. In many ocassion you only get stuck up with very less to choose from.

Chicken dish being quite common everywhere. There is no other alternative asI have noticed lately. And also they do not have anything else to choose from. A limited oppurtunity.

Post the main course one can enjoy some delicious and yummy Ice cream and Rasgulla and later before leaving the area, one never forget to get hold of some hot beverages. Coffee being the common of all.

Once you are inside the reception, you will keep hearing the Hissshhh sound of the Coffee machine.

Really wedding reception has always been place that makes me craving for more. And when I get into such place with no tension to early wakeup next morning, I make sure to spend maximum tim with tasting each and every item very precisely.

It takes a lot of effort in cooking so much quantity. May be for 1000 guest is not an easy work. The cook start cooking since afternoon so that the guest can enjoy them at night. Everything is made at one place. Making it very transparent wedding food arrangement
