[Eng-Spa] Quarantine: Day 307 - Cuarentena: Día 307

Good Morning!

Electricity has just returned, I have to hurry to cook because I can use the electric stove and I prefer it to use firewood, because smoke and I do not get along, in addition to cooking with wood or charcoal in a modern house in the middle XXI century, due to a lack of natural gas, in a country like #Venezuela, which a few years ago was one of the most important producers and exporters of oil and derivatives in the world ... well, it makes me think that these stupid ones that we put to govern They don't know what they're doing or they hate us a lot and they're trying to kill us all.

Anyway, I try to keep up my spirits and write quickly to publish before they cut off my electricity again, because the normal thing in these parts of the world is that we are more without basic services than with them, in fact, a couple of years ago. Years that I have not had regular piped water service and let alone what year it was that domestic gas came to my house because I don't remember it.

Everything that in my youth was part of my normal quality of life, well, now it is a beautiful memory of a past time, of an era that we have lost and that I fear will not return in the near future.

Ok, I know that they will tell me that the recovery can be fast and that the country can return to a moderately livable quality if certain measures are taken, but I am not so delusional or so idealistic, I am terribly realistic and frighteningly pragmatic, I don't think in economic miracles until I can see its effects sustained over time, so I do not expect that the next decades this country will float again, not even when there is the case of a drastic change in the economic and political model so destructive that we have in the present.

All I dedicate myself to do is to survive and make sure that my people survive, trying to maintain the hope that in some future beyond my expectations things can improve.

Acaba de regresar el servicio eléctrico, tengo que apurarme a cocinar porque puedo usar la cocina eléctrica y la prefiero a usar leña, pues el humo y yo no nos llevamos bien, además de que cocinar a leña o carbón dentro de una casa moderna en pleno Siglo XXI, por carencia de gas natural, en un país como #Venezuela, que hace unos años era uno de los productores y exportadores de petroleo y derivados mas importante del mundo... pues, me hace pensar que estos estúpidos que pusimos a gobernar no saben lo que hacen o nos odian bastante y están tratando de matarnos a todos.

En fin, trato de mantener el ánimo y escribir rápido para publicar antes de que me quiten la electricidad otra vez, pues lo normal en estos lados del mundo es que estemos mas sin servicios básicos que con ellos, de hecho, hace ya un par de años que no tengo servicio regular de agua por tubería y ni se diga en que año fue que me llegó gas domestico a la casa porque no lo recuerdo.

Todo aquello que en mi juventud era parte de mi calidad de vida normal, pues, ahora es un bello recuerdo de un tiempo pasado, de una era que hemos perdido y que me temo que no va a volver en un futuro cercano.

Ok, ya sé que me dirán que la recuperación puede ser rápida y que el país puede volver a ser medianamente de calidad vivible si se toman ciertas medidas, pero yo no soy tan iluso ni tan idealista, soy terriblemente realista y espantosamente pragmático, no creo en milagros económicos hasta que pueda ver sus efectos mantenidos en el tiempo, así que no espero que las próximas décadas este país vuelva a flote, ni aún cuando se diera el caso de un drástico cambio del modelo económico y político tan destructivo que tenemos en la actualidad.

Todo lo que me dedico a hacer es a sobrevivir y procurar que mi gente sobreviva, tratando de mantener la esperanza de que en algún futuro mas allá de mis expectativas las cosas puedan mejorar.
