[Eng-Spa] Quarantine: Day 302 - Cuarentena: Día 302

Good Morning!

I started this morning with my "homeland ration", which in Venezuela is equivalent to saying that I woke up with failures in electrical service, without water in the pipe, without domestic gas, with failures in public transportation, with high insecurity personal (both by common criminals and by police forces that may be even worse than the first mentioned) ...

Anyway, that's how you wake up here, the capital of a country that was once a great producer, refiner and exporter of oil and derivatives, a country that was an agricultural producer that exported its surplus grain or sugar. ... We were like that ... We are no longer what we were, in the last two decades the efforts of the ruling political caste have been aimed at the systematic destruction of the productive apparatus and have been largely successful.

About 40 years ago we boasted of having one of the most important hydroelectric plants in the region and a moderately good National Interconnected Electric System, now, most of the systems are failing with great frequency, maintenance services see the money disappear from their games, but maintenance is not carried out, leading to the deterioration and destruction of the quality of the service ... with the full knowledge and support of the current leaders of the country ...

Anyway, this is #Venezuela ... and that's saying enough.

Personally, I'm good at what I can, improving my health and trying to keep my mental state and spirits up so I don't give in to depression and insanity :)

I don't know how much I will publish today, but anyway, if it weren't for this escape, which is translating fantasy novels and dreaming of strange worlds, I think that if I would go crazy, it is in these moments that I remember once more than freedom always it is "inside" of each one and art is a good way to sublimate things to achieve lofty goals.

Comencé la mañana del día de hoy con mi "ración de Patria", lo que equivale en Venezuela a decir, que amanecí con fallas en el servicio eléctrico, sin agua en tubería, sin gas domestico, con fallas en trasporte público, con alta inseguridad personal (tanto por delincuentes comunes como por cuerpos policiales que pueden ser incluso peores que los primeros)...

En fin, eso es como se amanece por acá, la capital de un país que una vez fue un gran productor, refinador y exportador de petroleo y derivados, un país que era un productor agrícola que llegaba a exportar sus excedentes de granos o de azúcar... Eramos así... Ya no somos lo que fuimos, en las últimas dos décadas las gestiones de la casta política dirigente se encaminaron a la sistemática destrucción del aparato productivo y han tenido éxito en una gran medida.

Hace unos 40 años nos ufanábamos de tener una de las centrales hidroeléctricas mas importantes de la región y un Sistema Eléctrico Nacional Interconectado medianamente bueno, ahora, la mayor parte de los sistemas están fallando con gran frecuencia,los servicios de mantenimiento ven desaparecer el dinero de sus partidas, pero no se realizan los mantenimientos, llevando al deterioro y a la destrucción de la calidad del servicio... con el pleno conocimiento y el apoyo de los dirigentes actuales del país...

En fin, esto es #Venezuela... y ya eso es bastante decir.

En lo personal, estoy bien en lo que se puede, mejorando la salud y tratando de mantener el estado mental y el ánimo en alto para no rendirme a la depresión ni a la locura :)

No sé que tanto publicaré hoy, pero en fin, si no fuera por este escape que es traducir novelas de fantasía y soñar con mundo extraños, pues creo que si me volvería loco, es en estos momentos que recuerdo una vez mas que la libertad siempre está "adentro" de cada uno y el arte es una buena forma de sublimar las cosas para lograr metas elevadas.
