Wedding day in Villa Carafa
The summer months are dramatic months, not only because of the temperature, but also because of the high concentration of marriages. A couple of days ago we were invited to celebrate our friends' wedding at Villa Carafa, located in Andria.
The long lunch started at 3:00 pm with a small aperitif to entertain the guests and refresh them, due to the humid heat that touched 35 ° C. The bride and groom arrived in the room only at 16:00 and in the meantime I visited the whole villa and I was amazed by its vastness.
The gardens and fountains are central elements: everywhere vast expanses of lawn and dense, well-tended vegetation alternate with majestic fountains, often depicting animal statues such as lions. Villa Carafa has two large rooms where you can celebrate two different weddings, as well as an area called Zen Garden, where you can celebrate parties or weddings with a small number of guests.
The room is modern and spacious. The large windows allow you to illuminate the entire living room with only sunlight for most of the party. The food was plentiful and of quality, served by waiters always available, who often had to improvise to some particular request of ours ...
The evening ended in a large garden where the bride and groom shared the wedding cake as well as an excellent fruit and dessert buffet. A really pleasant day!

I mesi estivi sono mesi drammatici, non solo per le cose temperature, ma anche per l'alta concentrazione di matrimoni. Un paio di giorni fa siamo stati invitati ai festeggiamenti del matrimonio dei nostri amici presso Villa Carafa, situato ad Andria.
Il lungo pranzo è iniziato alle ore 15:00 con un piccolo aperitivo per intrattenere gli invitati e rinfrescarli, a causa del caldo umido che ha toccato i 35°C. Gli sposi sono giunti in sala solo alle ore 16:00 e nel frattempo ho visitato tutta la villa e sono rimasto stupito dalla sua vastità.
I giardini e le fontane sono elementi centrali: ovunque vaste distese di prato ed una folta vegetazione ben curata, si alternano a maestose fontane, spesso raffiguranti statute di animali come i leoni. Villa Carafa ha due grandi sale in cui poter festeggiare due diversi matrimoni, oltre ad una area chiamata Giardino Zen, in cui è possibile celebrare feste o matrimonio con un numero ridotto d'invitati.
La sala è moderna e ampia. Le larghe vetrate permettono d'illuminare l'intero salone con la sola luce solare per gran parte della festa. Il cibo è stato abbondante e di qualità, servito da camerieri sempre disponibili, che spesso hanno dovuto improvvisare a qualche nostra richiesta particolare...
La serata si è concluso in un ampio giardino in cui gli sposi hanno condiviso la torta nunziale oltre ad un ottimo buffet di frutta e dolci. Una giornata davvero piacevolmente impegnativa!
