Some Stories I was asked to write down, from my (humorous) past activities.

This is me (with the mustache) and a group of friends in my dorm room

I joined the US Air Force in Oct 1975, went through 7 months tech school
Then got to my duty station in Tucson Arizona (aka TooStoned AZ)
I had a piano in my room, and also a couple of guitars. I would
Help my friends learn to play guitar.

"My last Roommate"

We also PARTIED A LOT.
So imagine, a group of guys generally in their early 20's, sitting
Around stoned on Marijuana, listening to (for instance)
"Stairway To Heaven" by Led Zepplin. We'd all be off in dreamland,
And when whatever we were listening to ended, we'd all look around
at each other and say:
"Man! I'm fried!!" (as in fried to a crackly crunch) and we'd crack
Up laughing.
One day, I said that, and for some reason, it came out as if I were not
Saying it as a "State of Being" (high) it was as if it were my name.
Out of the blue, I said "Man, I'm Fried, JT Fried" and of course every
One laughed hysterically.
The name stuck, and my nickname with all my friends from then on
Was "JTFried"! My roommate even made a stencil of it and
Spray painted it on all my guitar cases.

"That's me in the black shorts"

We were a crazy bunch (I was caught in the act of pouring some
Beer on my friend Weejums back, then running like hell) big celebration
At a public park in Tucson.

Notice my red High Top Converse sneakers?

We also loved to hike and camp on Mt Lemmon, in the Catalina Mts
North of Tucson (you could snow ski in the winter, come back down
To the city and lay by the pool if you so desired on some days)

"The same day, the same sneakers"

I did some very foolish things back then

I am NOT holding on to that tree, I am JUMPING across a 40 ft deep
Channel just below the falls, where my roommate was standing
Taking the photos
(this is actually the second jump, he missed the first one)

I hurt my foot a bit on that second landing.

Much earlier around 1976, down in the desert at the base of Mt Lemmon

Well kiddies, that's enough for today

A great story here cuzzy Jerry and very reminiscent of the crazy things we got up to as youngsters. My army stint was in 72/73.
Lucky you didn't break something in that jump and the music was great in those days. So now we all know the origin of the "JTFried" label hahaha.
Well done with the story and I think it's worth more that $2
Blessings!

Thank you cousin Zak, I'm glad you enjoyed the story, I'm not too sure about posting the story about my sister dressing me in her doll's dress though.😜

Hahaha, a doll with a moustache???
Now I know that you are going to say that you were small and no moustache yet, but who is going to believe that hahaha
Blessings!

Baby Jerry Dress.jpg
We moved from there to the woods where I finished growing up when I was 6, this photo must have been around 3 yrs old.
Baby JerryII Hobby Horse(2).jpg
Mama said I would rock on that horse until I fell asleep, drooped around its neck.

Awwww! So cute here my cuz.
Btw. I was just ragging you a bit.
Makes a person miss TSU sometimes as there was so much laughter going on there.
Blessings!
Ps. They don't make them anymore like they did in 1954!

Hahaha, they had to force me out of school by threatening me with life long imprisonment hahaha.

Oh that would not be good. My school would have collapsed around me, had I remained in that institution much longer (graduated in 1974)

This is a fun post, I really love the old photos. Looks like you guys had a lot of fun :) Cool shots of you jumping across the crevasse!

We did have a lot of fun @carlgnash, but it took a toll on me.
Jumping across that gap was hazardous to anyone's health, but I survived.
Thank you for stopping by and commenting.

Thank you @c-squared for the curation.
Apparently I have already given you a witness vote.
I just tried and it said I had to reject it first.
So much of this madness doesn't
Make sense to me.

I am still young at heart, buried somewhere down there. I am at work now trying to dig me out again.
Thanks @yahaialababidi
