Since the beginning of man, people have looked up at the stars with awe. What are those objects burning in the sky? How did they get there, and why are they moving? The answers to these questions were beyond their understanding, and still inspire us will awe.

What ancient man, who assumed that star were burning objects, would be amazed to learn that stars are not burning, but rather going through nuclear fusion? The bright glow comes from these objects that are in some cases thousands of light years away, and many of which are long burned out. Imaging their awe of learning that we are on a small sphere on the arm of a massive galaxy spinning in a rapidly expanding universe?

Imagine the revelation that we had when we learned about supernovas, the atom, particles that make up the atom and how to leave Earth's surface. Our telescopes have revealed so much, it is amazing.

Today, I am still in awe of the night sky. Looking up, I am amazed at the laws that govern the universe. Image how much we will know in the future. Keep your respect and awe of space, and keep dreaming.
