an old lady died a few months ago and her family just threw everything away.
I asked them if I can have her old shitcoins and they happily said yes.

This post might not be as interesting for most, but I'm autistic and found it very interesting.. ^^ ..and maybe some people with shitcoin bags think again.. what this is all about..

LOOK AT ALL THOSE SHITCOINS

Wont be much worth. Probably just coins with a very rare "Prägungsjahr".

How did the family of the deceased lady knew you where interested in the "old shitcoin coins"?

I saw them look at the coins and then throw the bag, with them in it, into a big trash container

Just went over and asked :)

Dude, this is some exciting shit! (Could it be that I share your autism?) Anyway, I was happy to recognize some familiar ones. None of the East-German or Nazi coins, but lots of pre-Euro coins from Italy and France, the Netherlands, etc. Wow, the Spanish ones have Franco on it!!! Your international pic has a Hungarian 2 Forint coin, a very famous one they wrote song about. The 10 cent coin in the US (as well as Canada and other countries) is called a dime. I have no idea who that face is supposed to be, maybe indeed Hermes. The British coins are from various places in the commonwealth: the one with the fern is New Zealand. The one with the possum could be Australia (I know, that critter is not much liked in New Zealand, so I don't think they would put it on their money). The top one even says Jamaica on it, and the one below it could be from Jersey... though I'm guessing on this one.

It's the British Commonwealth. Places like New Zealand, Jamaica, India, Canada, Guyana etc. They're former colonies, today independent countries, but they have retained a connection with the UK. Some even kept Queen Elizabeth II as their monarch.

You should check every silvery coin before 1980 because a lot of them are silver coins! These are best kept for the bad times ahead.

Those pennies are worth .03usd each.
The nickel is 6 cents in metal, unless it is from 1942 to 1945.
Then it may have silver in it worth 1.5usd plus the copper value.
The others are not worth much as metal.

This one is 2usd.
It is a mercury dime.

This one, if it is pre 1964 could be 90% silver, too.

Well, it'd be cool to learn about the histories of where these coins were made and about the time periods and countries they are from I think. They're not shitcoins like some others I know of.
