Travelgirl Is Moving! It's Hard Work!~
Hi Everyone,
After staying in this property for many years, it is time to move. It is a bit sad moving away from a place you stayed at an extended period of time but I guess its time for a new adventure as we tell the little ones. Our new place is literally up the road but we still need to pack. Packing is the worst part in any move and the last time we did was before the kids came along so this time was a bit challenging. Just giving you an insight into what is happening to my world, its just complete chaos. I am actually embarrassed to show every room but this is just the main area we have all our stuff out to put into boxes.
Honestly, I don't know where to start. My other half suggested just chuck everything and buy fresh. I insist we just keep everything and try to sort it out as we pack. After staying so many years in one place, you do a accumulate so much stuff over the years, you wonder why did I keep this or why did I buy this. We had so much stuff or should I call it trying to make it easier to pack, we converted the kid's room to a storeroom so we can pack and dump it in there for the movers to take. We just had that much stuff in our small apartment. Pretty impressive in my opinion.

I know what you mean.
It doesn't matter how near or far the distance is from the current home to the new ones. It's the packing that's most tiresome. We did that 2 years ago when we moved from a landed property to an apartment. And because we've done this several times even before we were married, I had come out with a recipe for it.
Plus, I'm sort of an OCD when it comes to packing so I will take my time to pack. The last time we did this, I took more than a month to pack everything into boxes, tag them up and put them aside for the movers. I only left aside those that we needed to use daily to a limited amount for the last minute packing.
my husband wanted to chuck everything on mine. I told him to chuck himself in the bin hahaha. His only thing to pack is really his stuff, computer and tech gadgets. The rest is mine to do. You will know how I feel with a house full of boys

I think still need to chunk some stuff. Even when I renovate last year, it was an opportunity to chunk out a lot of stuff.
Yah we donated loads to vinnies and salvos. Sold a few things on FB which was nice. but yes most is just to chuck hahaha

It's truly difficult to pack so many things and change a house, so we have been staying in my house since a decade on rent. Its almost I paid him half the price of the house :) , and should have thought of buying one long back.
sometimes its better to rent because of the area, the circumstances so you can free up some money etc. Sometimes you are ready to buy your place and just don't want to move and save the hassel. But really you should look into getting rid of some stuff and the day you move, you will have less headaches lol
