Busy 🐝 Ghost Town Monday | Life admist the crisis

As earlier mentioned in some of my previous posts, Monday has always been a non-working day in my community for over three years now, as a result of the crisis in the English speaking regions of Cameroon.
The Separatists fighters declared Monday a ghost town day and on Mondays, it's no work, no movement and no business in my community. It's just people in their different neighborhoods socializing or engaging in community service or playing games or staying at home and keeping themselves busy.
I started the day by preparing breakfast for my kids and then I went outside and washed the car.

After washing the car, I cleaned our small chicken farm and took the manure infront for sun drying.

Then I asked my kids to remove all their dirty dresses from the house and engaged them to wash with my supervision and support.

As usual, we do hand washing and sun drying of our washed garments on the hedge we have in front of our home. This is a very eco-friendly and healthy activity coupled with the fact that we wash our clothes with our own home made laundry detergents.

After the washing, I went to the community field which is just about 100metres from my home to watch my friends play football. I always prefer playing during the evening shift that begins from 4pm.

From the field, I joined members of my community for community clean up during which we were involved in the clearing of the bushes along the streets of the community.

We shared a drink after the community service before I started my Community Identification and Demographic Campaign which strives to identify all members of the community as a security and solidarity measure as well as ask them to make donations for us to installation of gates, street lights, alarms and cameras in our community to further guarantee our security during these crisis moments.
It's past 3Pm and I just had my lunch after going around 20 houses. I want to rest and then go the field for my evening soccer.
After the soccer, I will come back and do my 23 Days of Green Action Advocacy Campaign and then go back around to collect the demographic forms from my neighbors. Will keep you updated in a comment πŸ˜‰
Don't ask me how I can do all these in a day coz it's my passion that inspires and leads me.

Wishing you a busy 🐝 week.

It looks like a good and productive day you've had. I always find it interesting to see everyday life in other parts of the world, especially places that are so vastly different from my own country. Thanks for sharing your post and a day in the life of you.
