Below: One Of The Best Video Messages You'll Ever See!

Earlier this evening I watched a talkshow on Dutch television in which they discussed an issue that happened yesterday during a professional soccer match here in The Netherlands.
In that match a coloured player was being bullied and yelled at by the supporters of the opposing team. Besides that, he had to endure the humiliating "jungle"(monkey) sounds every time he had the ball.
Obviously this wasn't the first time this happened. And, sadly enough, this happens all over the world.

Anyway, the bullied player got such overwhelmed by emotions that the referee decided to temporarily stop the match. The match was restarted after a while and ended in 3 - 3.
But the whole issue got a wagonload of attention in the media (and for good reason IMO). Because this really should be eliminated and adequate messures should be taken.

In line with the above, the second subject in the talkshow was the, just by Steven Spielberg released, documentary 'Why We Hate'.
Sadly they only could show us some short previews of the documentary.

As a kind of a "wrap up" of the subject they nevertheless showed an eye-opening video, that was made some three years ago by a TV-channel in Denmark.

A MUST WATCH! It speaks for itself.

I've got nothing more to say.

Hi @smasssh, how are you doing? I think intimidation of the players is often done by the audience. Especially if a player plays in an opponent's place. Maybe there must be strict rules to avoid this. Watching TV is exciting. but I prefer watching a soap opera that is romantic than reality shows. Have a nice day, sir.

Yeah man. I saw that a little while back, i'm not sure where but it's some good stuff.

Cross-sections like that are impossible to see on the outside, people tend to judge only that and move along - myself included.

Wondering if we could put something together in Steemland like this - connect a few whales with minnows etc :)

'people tend to judge only that and move along - myself included.'

I'm not running for Pope either man. Here the same.
The problem is always that (luckily only) a few are the so-called "firestarters", but who still manage to spoil it for everyone.

Connecting whales with minnows; a good idea indeed, but easier said than done.
With the lack of current posting and engagement, and with that a "leftover" of not used daily SP, I started to upvote also smaller accounts.

Terribly sad about the name calling. It seems bullying has gotten way out of hand even with all the attention about trying to stop it.

Absolutely!
These low IQ morons (because that's what they are), should be banned for life to every social event they want to go to.
With today's techniques it must be possible (by digital face-recognition etc.) to pick out these losers and refuse them entrance.
