Augmented reality

Before today, the first things I had in my mind when I thought about the augmented reality were some games I tried thanks my smartphone, but today everything changed for me! 

You have to know that during the last two weekends, my friend Cecilia organized a festival of poetry and art n the montain and one of the events was about the augmented reality. Thanks an italian start up agency called Bepart (you can read more here), some graphic designers created stories to tell thanks the  Augmented Reality. Those stories included sounds and drawings too and we could  see everything thanks an app on the phone. 

On Saturday I was on the mountain for the festival and so Cecilia gave us some cards with simple photos and the instructions to watch them with the phone to see the stories "inside" them in augmented reality and it was fantastic!

I downloaded the app and I  framed every single photo with the in-app  camera. It was magical! Some animations started to run in the corners and inside the pic, sounds and visual effects was fantastic! 

I'd like to do something similar for some of my artwork. I think it could be interesting to watch an artwork using a similar app  and to see something more that tell a different story that start from the subject of the painting. I have to study more about it!
