We are taking away the navigability of the river and the river is our life!!!
Abu Saleh a very poor farmer he has a single land to cultivate beside the Tista River the last village of Sundarganj Upazilla named Kashim Bazar. Beside the land, he has a very small house to live with his wife and two children. Most of the family of Kashim Bazar Village Shifted in various places of Sundarganj Upazila. Many of them shifted in the Capital forever. There were only five families left in his zone. Abu Saleh became very tense because after one month the rainy season will start and the destroyer Tista is very near to his land and house.
The disastrous Tista will destroy everything because it's destroying from era to era, it never considers anyone. Finally, the rainy season come in heavy rain. Within a few days, the Tista becomes a monster, The sound of the Teesta's stream as like the sound of a terrible monster today to Abu Saleh. From the evening it was raining cat's a dog the weather was very suitable for sleep but Saleh unable to sleep the sound of stream heating his mind and heart constantly. He was able to feel the Tista is destroying everything but But he did not dare to go out and see with his own eyes. In the late-night, he fell asleep.
In the morning Abu Saleh wakes up hearing the sound of his wife crying. He just came out from his room and stopped because Tista is now under his leaving room. It will take more than one hour to destroy everything. Soon they brought everything out of their house. And wait until the devastating Teesta devours everything of them. Finally, the time came, the intense water of the Teesta sank all of them inside the zodiac. Abu Saleh and his family shouted, "Alas, Allah, you have completely destroyed us."
This is not a story this the reality. Every year we have to hear such kinds of shouting for thousands of families in our country. The government is settling down for these proletarian people, Congratulation to our Government. Being Bangladeshi they are living like Rohingga.
Those people are responsible for their loses, We are responsible, both directly and indirectly, for their inability. We are filling the river in our interest, lifting the sand from the river, and the river is obliged to change their direction. And the brutal consequences of the change of direction are even harder than the reality of the story above.
