We don't have the right to know!!
Several patients of CoronaVirus has been detected in my country recently. Yeah, there's nothing new in this news. Because many countries are already affected and many died in this and it's continuing. But the thing is, our government is not giving any proper information about how many people are really affected, the actual figure and how much the virus spread!!
If you have any idea about Bangladesh, you already know it's an overpopulated country. There are almost 14.4 million people lives in this capital city and it's increasing. If you just go outside on the road or take public transport, you will feel you are in a public gathering. So, you can understand how worried we are not knowing the actual figure or news about Covid-19.
There are different news on Social Media or even some traditional media too about the spread of Covid-19. But the government is silent. They are saying that only 3 patients are detected, nothing more, nothing to worry. But everyday thousands of people are entering through airports without any proper health checkup. The machines are broken, there is a lack of human resources in the airports. That means we are in danger. We don't have enough infrastructure and facilities to fight with this. Also, most of the people couldn't afford hygiene products.
Moreover, many still are very ignorant about this whole thing. People who came from abroad are in self-quarantine. But I and we are not sure how much effective that will be. And for how long the government can handle a situation like this.
We have seen, how the Chinese government was trying to hide the virus spreading news. So, I guess you can understand what I'm saying!
I'm not sure if we are worrying too much or we should really worry. Because we don't have enough to fight if it spread like an epidemic. So the silence of the government is making things worse. It's not helping us anyway to keep us calm. Rather, maybe unknowingly things are getting worse.
We really don't know. And as a commoner, we don't know what to do. The government is trying it's best for sure. They are trying to support and control the market. But it feels like we don't have any right to know the fact.

I think all governments are going into the misinformation/disinformation business. Which is a crying shame. 😭
Personally, I take heart in the fact that the influenza virus kills thousands of people each year, year after year.
It is much more deadly (so far) and just as (if not more) readily spread though the population.
Try to be encouraged by this; that is how I look at it. Two days ago the US Govt
Moved 32 people who are infected to a military base 2 mi from here.
I am in the "at risk" age group, yet I am not really worried
By this circumstance. When it all comes down to it,
The basic fact is; there are just TOO MANY of us.
Yeah, we have so little to prevent the virus from spreading. We have to go to public places and that's why it's necessary to know the actual information. Because many are still not maintaining any hygiene or trying to protect themselves in my country, thinking there's no virus. And in the meantime maybe the virus is spreading more.
I have a toddler son and that's why I'm not feeling comfortable in this situation.

We must fight the viruses of fear and anxiety while spreading the viruses of hope and trust.
I hope all the best. Wish I could say avoid crowds. My area is crowded and already passing 8000 known infections. Gotta take a busy train to work. We can afford basic hygiene products, but there are still a lot of bored people taking unnecessary risks.
There's no way to avoid public places. And for different reasons it's became impossible to maintain the hygiene. That's what making the virus spread and making us more worried.
