He promised to be with her forever
As they seal their covenant with golden band.
But he is only a man
Imperfect and fallible
One who can make and break promises
He promised her a forever friendship
They will share life together
She thinks he will care forever
If only she had known
The ring was moulded of lies
And the gold was made of deceit
Now she is bounded to lies
She is scared to leave the deceitful union
Scared to be tag a lesser woman
A woman who can't hold her home
Caught in the ring of lies
Carefully crafted by a man
Who cares about nothing but himself
