Sorry it wasn't just strep.
I use to get strep every winter and sometimes it seemed I would get it right before it snowed. I never wanted to miss playing in the snow. I don't know which teen year, but finally the doctor told Mom if I had it one more time, she might want to consider having my tonsils removed ! I never had it again after that, maybe two times since I've been an adult. He scared it out of me...LOL !

It is fascinating to me how some people are prone to strep, and others not. I had strep once in childhood and haven't had it since. I have a friend with kids that are 5 and 7 and they each have had it a dozen times. I seems we may be flu prone in this family though, as I have had it probably ten times in my life.
I've heard multiple people say that about the tonsils. Sometimes a good threat just scares the tonsils back into good behavior :)
