I am now an artist!

The Shane got me a Wacom drawing tablet for Christmas so I am now an ARTIST.

No, I do not know how to draw.....but that won't stop me!
One day I will draw as well as that dolphin dammit!

Here you can see how amazing my artwork actually is:

I did that with the touchpad thingy on my laptop using Krita and showed it to The Shane.
He laughed so hard he snorted.
I also showed it to @carrieallen who laughed so hard she started crying with pity for my lack of artistic ability.
@juliakponsford suggested that I get a tablet to have more control over my horrendously horrible drawings, so The Shane got me one ... because he is a kind and benevolent husband.

The tablet came with the Corel Painter Essentials program so I learned how to use the photo painting thingy and made the charcoal drawing above as well as this one:

And my spooky doppelganger:

And this artbreeder self-portrait that looks nothing like me:

I haven't tried to use the actual tablet yet.

I am scared.

You can do it! I'm getting better and it's way more fun once you figure out how to use the things.

Wow, how lucky you are to have a drawing tablet. With a lot of practice I know you will be able to make great drawings, and I hope to be there to see it.

I got a Wacom and I love it. I use it mainly for doing crap in Photoshop and retouching photos and stuff. One day I will give it a whirl and try and draw something with it.

YOU CAN DO IT!
Use the tablet. Start making terrible art. You have to start somewhere. You start at terrible, and with practice you get not so terrible. You may find that you actually get good at it after a while. Draw cats. :-)

btw I have two wacoms in my family (one was obtained for my wife, one for my daughter) -- but its impossible for me to approach this gadget, not my cup of tea at all. doesnt makes me an artist :=)

Just use the easiest drawing program you know and start scribbling. They all come with an eraser brush or use control z.
