Gratitude

Today I’m noticing a lot to be grateful for.

I love my neighborhood, my neighbors, my home itself. I’m so lucky to be able to maintain the living temperature just right regardless of what’s going on outside.

I love my lovely plants who are all thriving.

I love the delicious food I eat and all the yummy gifts I keep encountering.

I love having friendly people to dance with, sing with, see a movie with, or just enjoy sharing food with.

I love having enthralling novels to read and movies to watch, on demand, right on my living room couch.

I love having so many skills, being able to have an idea of a way to help or delight others and immediately start bringing it into reality.

I love living in a democracy, however flawed.

I love the ideology of aiming to be good and kind, however much we may fall short. Consider coming of age in a place that tells you that you’re rotten, everyone around you is rotten, might as well grab whatever you can for yourself no matter how it effects others, since no good will ever come of generosity or even fairness. I much prefer aspirational cultures like this one.

I love the freedom I have over my time. I love having a chance to get bored, forced to dig into my creativity to fulfill myself. I love having an abundance of time.

Pizza deserves a special mention. Also dark chocolate. Dogs. I’m so grateful that I live in a neighborhood with lots of friendly dogs.

Walking. I’m glad I’m healthy enough to walk for 20-45 minutes each day. In general being fairly fit is a blessing. I look forward to improving my aerobic resilience even more in the months to come.

I love the world of crypto. It’s fascinating. The chance that it also winds up providing me with even more freedom and well-being is phenomenal. It’s this perfect new thing in my world. Plus engaging with it is helping me grow. I’ve learned much about myself in the process of investing.

I love living near family now. It’s great to have all these awesome people to hang out with who all love me. It’s also great to now be able to share so much of what I’ve learned with those I love most.

Well I guess I’ll stop there. There is still far more to be grateful for in this wonderful, though far from perfect world.

But now I hand the baton to you.
