Never Be In Competition With Anyone

I was at a gas station this morning when I saw a young man and a lady having a little argument over a trivial matter, only to see another young man sitting on a chair beside the young lady and beckoning on her to be calm at least. The young lady decided to act as the young man said and stopped talking, I guess this angered the other man and he said to the lady " I guess because you are with a young rich man, you feel you have the world, he isn't as rich as the 40 year old man living down my street". The young man beside the lady was quiet and did not say a word about what the other man said, he waited patiently till the other guy left. The lady asked him, why did you not say anything to what the other young man said, the young man said, "I am not in competition with anyone, i am just 24 years and the person he compares me with is in the early 40s. I just want to make impact in life and I am sure when I am 40, I will be more fulfilled that I have impacted more lives, money comes with impact".

I have realize that a lot of people compare themselves with others and that makes them feel inferior or less valuable when they are with the person they compare themselves with. One thing I have learned growing up is that we need one another to survive, no one is better than the other, no one is more valuable to the other. A dentist need a vulcanizer to help with his car tyres, a teacher needs a farmer to feed and a farmer needs a bank to jeep money while A bank needs all of them to keep running. No one is more special than the other, they are meant to compliment one another.

What happens When You feel One Person Is better than The Other.

When people start comparing themselves with others, they tend to leave room for things that are not positive such as;

• Hate
• Greed
• Unhealthy competition
• Argument
• Errors

These things are really not cool and could lead to more other damaging things and it is advisable that it doesn't happen.

So when next you are compared with someone else, let them know you are not in competition with anyone.
