The Mirror of Life

avatar

Today, I wanted to share a blog that I ran into while checking out some of my followers on Twitter. Turns out I'd been following him for years and had just lost track after awhile. It was written by a guy named Connor who endured everything the world had to throw at him. I've always said that anytime you think you're going through some changes, there's always someone else dealing with even more.

His life story was filled with so many obstacles, it's a wonder he was even able to handle it for as long as he did. This amazing young man passed in 2013, but left an indelible effect on everyone who knew him. For posterity, he decided to share his story of growing up an orphan and how he forged a personal bond with others like him. Once I started reading, I couldn't stop. Please take a moment and discover the life and times of Damek Kwiatkowski.

Connecting with the struggles of another...

The best way to start is with his background story which you can find here. This will provide a solid foundation for everything that happens afterwards. The blog archive lists "The End" at the top, but I would suggest saving that for last, while checking out the other links about his life. The post from 2012 entitled: What Happens When You Die, really leaves a lasting imprint for anyone who reads it.

I think we gather strength from those that we love and it was heartening to read about this band of brothers who supported each other during very trying times. The thing we should take away from all of this is, whatever you're going through, never forget to love yourself.

Thanks for your support!
