Sometimes We Make Uses Of Cardboard 6.20.2021

Don't we have a lot of cardboard? Sometimes we get cardboard from packages that come to us. Sometimes we have cardboard from things like a cereal box.

Most of the time I might just break down the boxes so they lie flat and I put them with my recycling that gets picked up every other week that is part of my garbage service that I pay each month.

Then there are times when we could really use this cardboard.

I have used cardboard to block off some bottom windows. This way no one could see through the glass as it is blocked off. Blocking off vision is one thing, but also on a hot day one might block off the hot sun from coming in. I have used something like that before.

I have not used cardboard by the way of mechanics, but I have read stories of people that needed a gasket, but the auto part store was closed and they needed it done.

I heard of people using a cereal box and cutting it out in the shape of the gasket needed and then using that cereal box cut out as a gasket and they mention that years later the makeshift gasket is still hanging in there.

Well, I am not much of a mechanic, but it worked for other people, maybe it is worth a try when there is nothing else.

I had bought a hard disk, a Seagate BarraCuda 2TB Internal Hard Drive HDD – 3.5 Inch SATA 6Gb/s 7200 RPM 256MB Cache 3.5-Inch. Well I didn't have one of the holders that would hold the hard drive in place.

I did order one and I ordered the wrong thing. Ever do that, it sounds like what you needed, but worded in just a way to let you know that it is not want you want? Well, I don't like returning something like that, but I still needed something to hold the hard disk in place.

Well I used some cuts of cardboard and place them in a way that it would keep snug the hard disk so it wouldn't move too much. Well, it looks pretty much like my dad would say, Mickey Mouse.

My dad passed away back in 2009 and today as I write is Father's Day. Well, I do thank my dad for showing me all the things that he showed me.

So anyway, I Mickey Mouse-d the thing, so that the hard disk stayed in place. This new hard disk is for extra storage and it works good that way.

So anyway we use what we have a lot of, and I do have a lot of cardboard lying around.
