On My Walk, I Noticed This Hummingbird Chirping 11.15.2020

I caught this humming bird on video as I was walking yesterday. I heard this chirping and looked up into my orange tree that just happens to have grape vines growing up it.

Well that hummingbird was on a grapevine growing on my orange tree in my backyard. Well, it is always nice to see a hummingbird in my yard chirping as it is. Its chirping sure does sound better than the cars that go by on the freeway. My house is pretty close to the freeway and I do enjoy the sounds of birds more than I do the sounds of speeding cars.

So I am still walking my backyard. I find it enjoyable in the morning when it is still pretty cool outside. Well, I live in California, so even though it is fall, it sometimes feels like just a little cooler than summer. I don't want to walk if it is too hot.

Of course I don't want to take walking for granted, you see my mom just recently had a gout attack. It is painful for her to walk right now. So she will have to restrict herself from certain foods.

There are also certain foods that might help her out with the gout attacks. One is drinking lemon water. My youngest sister wanted to know what she could get mom and I told her to get some lemons.

She told me, Why should I get mom lemons, isn't it acid? I tried to explain to my youngest sister that lemons are acid outside the body, but when it goes into the body it turns to alkaline. Of course when dealing with gout you will want your body to be more alkaline than acid.

I didn't want to argue too much with my sister over the phone, so I told her to do a Google search on lemon water and gout and she will see that the lemon water is really good if one has gout. So I guess she looked it up as when she came to moms she brought lemons with her.

It is good that we can look things up with the computer. Back in the day I would have books that told of things to do with certain ailments, I still have those books, but Google searches do help me save time.

So let's get back to the hummingbird. My mom has beautiful Mexican sage and when it flowers the hummingbirds show up and that makes my mom happy.

Come to think about it, I have white sage growing in my backyard and yes it does attract the bees, but it also attracts the hummingbirds, when it flowers that is. I enjoy seeing the hummingbirds as much as my mom and am happy that I do have my white sage growing for them.
