It Seems Like I Haven't Written In A While 1.20.2021

We had some strong winds where I am. The house behind me had some woven poly tarps set up like a little shelter for something. Well this in the picture are strips of those woven poly tarps.

That is the thing with plastic type products is that the sun gets to them and they grow weak and will fray away.

My mom used to buy these from a dollar store type stores for a dollar, plus tax of course. When my mom figured that these tarps break down, I told her that canvas tarps last longer.

My mom did start to buy cotton canvas tarps and they are still in place today with little rips, but they sure do have a lasting quality, but they do cost a pretty penny.

Of course the best tarps would be the hemp tarps. With hemp being legal in some places now, you'd think you could buy some hemp tarps from Amazon, but no, not yet anyway.

I remember reading somewhere that in the olden days of sail ships in the 1800's the sails had to be changed every 2 years, because of the sea water tearing them down.

That is a lot of hemp to change all the sails every two years. Now days more ships don't use sails, but there are sailboats. I was on a sailboat a few times in my life. The sail looked synthetic. It sure didn't look like canvas that I know that is.

So anyway, there was a big wind and it broke up the back neighbors tarp or tarps and pieces of them were in my backyard that I picked up with some big thongs.

Let's end with a scripture, as it is written, Then the soldiers, when they had crucified Jesus, took his garments, and made four parts, to every soldier a part; and also coat: now the coat was without seam, woven from the top throughout. They said therefore among themselves, Let us not rend it, but cast lots for it, whose it shall be: that the scripture might be fulfilled, which saith, They parted my raiment among them, and for my vesture they did cast lots. These things therefore the soldiers did. John 19:23-24.
