I Went To Kentucky Fried Chicken Today 3.16.2020

It was for my mom's birthday. She turned 89. My brother gave me some money to go and buy the 16 piece meal. We didn't want mom to cook and we didn't want to cook so KFC was the solution.

I usually go into the lobby to buy a take out order, but there was a little sign print out about not wanting people in the lobby. It was about the Coronavirus. The Coronavirus even changed the way Kentucky Fried Chicken operates.

As I was reading the little sign, a young woman opened the locked door and told me to go through their drive thru. Well, that is what I will have to do, but before that I wanted to read the big menu through the glass and as I was reading it another young woman pointed at the drive thru.

So I had to get in the long line of cars ordering their chicken orders through the intercom. A nice young man asked me what I wanted and I told him I wanted the 16 piece meal with two orders of coleslaw and two orders of mash potato and gravy.

I also mentioned that I wanted the original style. I like the 11 herbs and spices.

I drove up to the second window and handed the girl the money and she gave me some change back. Then handed me the food.

I drove away looking at the empty lobby. It looked so strange that way.

I was thinking how at In and Out Burgers are so busy in their lobby. Will they close their lobby too? I really don't like eating food in that lobby anyway, it is too crowded.

I will have to notice how they will handle it at Chick-Fil-A. That place is always crowded. It is so crowded that I wanted to try it out, but just too many people and I decided I didn't even want to try it as it is just too crowded in the lobby.

So the Coronavirus has changed the way that we shop and the way we order food. It was also the catalyst of the Dow Jones stock market falling almost 3000 points this day. Lots of changes are happening.

I am grateful that my mom is still strong at 89 and that my brother gave me money to go get the food.

Let's end with some scripture, as it is written, Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;) That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth. Ephesians 6:2-3.
