I Took My Mom To Shop At The Grocery Outlet 3.17.2020

We haven't gone to that store in a long time. I was hoping that they would have some raw chicken and mom was hoping there would be some eggs.

Well, there weren't any lines. I liked that, but you could tell that people did some panic buying. I notice that people were buying up a lot of the vitamins. There was just one bottle of vitamin D3 on the shelves.

We went to where they normally keep the raw meat. No steak or chicken and I was hoping to get some chicken. Where the steak and chicken used to be were some eggs. Mom seen a pack of 12 large eggs for $1.79. That was a good price. Later a woman working came out with 3 packages of 5 dozen eggs for $6.99.

A woman wanted to buy them all, then she seen how mom wanted to buy one of the packs of 5 dozen eggs and let her have the last package. That was great. Now mom has the eggs that she wanted. $6.99 for 5 dozen medium eggs is really a good deal.

I did see a couple of young women who seemed to be friends each holding a pack of 12 eggs so delicately. Who knows it may be the only protein that they will buy today.

Mom and I went through the frozen sections and people seemed to by a lot of frozen things as those freezers seemed pretty much empty. There were some frozen meats like frozen salmon though.

So I still haven't had a chance to buy some raw chicken. I guess people have been stocking up on chicken. Actually chicken is something to buy as it is cheaper than cuts of beef.

Well, at least mom got a chance to buy her eggs. Hopefully we will get back to normal soon.
