I Took My Brother To Kaiser And Later On My Mom To Costco 3.19.2020

My brother wanted me to bring him to Kaiser as he needed to get some medicine. I walked into the building with him and was stopped by a young woman with a face mask on. She asked my brother what he was doing there. He told her he was going to get his medicine.

She asked if he had a temperature and he said, no. The she asked him if he had shortness of breath. He tried to tell her he had shortness of breath because he has asthma.

Then she asked him again if he had shortness of breath, and I said, my brother has asthma and he has had it for about 60 years. Well, she went and got him a mask and asked me to go outside as I was not a patient and they only wanted patients in the building.

So I went outside and waited for him.

My brother had a hard time just walking from the parking lot to the sidewalk. It is pretty bad that he can't breathe to well and was running out of his medicine.

As I was driving him to Kaiser, I mentioned that peppermint oil will help with the inflammation of the lungs. I told him that it is the inflammation that is giving him a hard time breathing. He didn't know that peppermint oil helps with inflammation of the lungs. So he told me that he will look into using peppermint oil again.

I also told him that vitamin C will help with inflammation also. He told me that he will start to take vitamin C again.

So it took awhile and my brother came out, then he had to rest on a bench outside as he was out of breath again. After he was breathing with ease again we walked to my car. Then I took him home.

Later on I took my mom to Costco after we were visiting an aunt of mine. Mom was running out of cat food and wanted to buy other things. A sister of mine didn't want my mom to go out shopping so she stayed in the car. I got the things that she wanted.

Well, at least I didn't see any lines. So I went to where the cat food is. I notice that there was no more toilet paper and no more paper towels. They did have a lot of cat food.

Then mom wanted some more eggs. There was a sign near the eggs that you can only buy one package of eggs. Well, that is good and it will keep people from hoarding.

Mom also wanted some vinegar. They usually have a box with 2 gallons of white vinegar, but I didn't see it. Mom likes to use it like disinfectant, maybe other people had that idea too. So no vinegar for mom today.

She also wanted chicken stock. It is good to have as it makes good soup.

Well, I went to the check out clerk and I usually hand my membership card to him, but he didn't want to touch it. He told me to hold it out with the bar code showing and he scanned it with his hand scanner. I pay him and he gave me the change and the receipt.

As I go out the door they usually grab the receipt and mark it, but this time they wanted me to hold it as the checker would put a clip board under my receipt and would mark the receipt with his other hand.

I see that they are trying to go as touchless as they can. It is all good.

I get back to the car and tell my mom that life has changed a lot in the last seven days.

Let's end with a scripture, as it is written, with Jesus speaking, Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. Matthew 24:35.
