Yes, I was mowing my lawn and a young lady in regular clothes was delivering my mail. She wanted to know if she hands it to me or put it in the mail box. I told her to put it in the mail box and thanked her as I didn't want to get distracted while I was mowing the lawn.

I had just finished reattaching the bag after I emptied the bag and when I turned around, I saw her.

I used to deliver mail back in the early 1980's and when a postal person is delivering with regular clothes that means they are new and after three months of working they will be a regular postal worker with a uniform that they will have to buy themselves and the union can help them after the 3 month period.

When I worked for the Postal Service I was fired before the 3 months was up and since that happened the union could not help me. Of course it was a blessing in disguise as I got to go back to the telephone company which I left to work for the US Postal Service.

The same telephone company that changed its name over the years and decades, but I did get to retire from them after 31 years of service at the telephone company.

Well, anyway I hope the girl makes it pass her 3 month trial period. Time will tell.

So after I finished mowing the lawn and emptying the bag for the last time and adding in more gas to the mower before putting it away, I did get a chance to look at my mail.

I am getting a whole bunch of political ads with recommendations on certain propositions. I am going to vote red straight across and vote no on everything. You see if I vote yes on some proposition I may have to pay more on my property tax and I don't want that.

Then I notice my property tax bill. You see the tax always changes. Sometimes it changes a little bit and sometimes it changes a whole lot.

I do put money aside for the property tax and insurance monthly. Well the property tax only went up about 11 dollars or so, but my insurance did go up. So I recalculated my saving strategy. So I figured I will have to increase my monthly savings for property tax and insurance by 11 dollars monthly. That is not too bad.

I budget some money monthly for car repairs that will eventually be used and I hope that I don't have to use it too soon. Also I will take the 11 dollars from my monthly car repair savings and put it toward my property tax and insurance savings.

I still have monthly savings for my car repairs, but from now on at the moment, I will have less money put aside monthly for car repairs.

When it comes to car repair, I have been letting things go as they are.

For instance on my 89 Nissan Sentra, when I put my headlights on, my tail lights don't come on, but the brake lights do come on when braking. Now I could fix it, but I choose not to fix it at this time. So what do I do? I just don't drive my 89 Nissan Sentra at night.

If I do have to drive at night I will use my 93 Honda Accord. I do like driving my 89 Nissan Sentra around as it has a small engine and it does save on gas. I will just have to use it in the daytime only or I may get a fix it ticket and I don't want one of those.

I could fix my speedometer on my 91 Chevy S10, but I choose not to at this time. So what do I do? Well, when I do drive my 91 Chevy S10 I just drive slower than the next guy and I will not get any speeding tickets.

Oh yes, another thing, a cooling fan in my 89 Nissan Sentra only comes on when the air conditioning is on. I also choose not to fix it at this time. So what do I do? Well, I just drive the car with the air conditioning on all the time.

Yes, last year I drove the 89 Nissan Sentra with the air conditioner on even during the winter, also my heater is broke on that car. Well, at least where I am I don't have snow in the winter. If it gets really bad I will just drive my 91 Honda Accord on certain days in the winter if I really need to drive with the heater on.

Well, that is what I chose to do and now I am taking more of my monthly saving from my car repair fund to fund my monthly property tax and insurance fund.

Well, I do what I have to do to get by. At least all my vehicles run and I am fine with that.

Let's end with a scripture, as it is written, And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you. Ephesians 4:32.
