Chase Wants Me To Refinance 6.23.2021

I got an email from Chase today with this heading. I just did a screen shot and cropped.

Well, they try to let me know that there is money tied up in my house and they want me to refinance and I will have money to do with whatever I want. It is how certain people lost their houses as they borrowed against their house.

Well, if you ever borrow against your house and if something happens like you lose your job or a grand divorce or just something happens where you cannot pay your monthly bill then, you have to give up your house and they will sell it and if there is any equity in the house they will give you some of it as they will fee the heck out of the rest.

Then their are people that borrow against all the equity in the house, then if you can't pay the monthly bill then they take the house and you get evicted.

Remember what happened in the housing crash of 2008-2009? I seen a lot of my friends lose their houses. They couldn't pay. Some people wanted to buy another house, before they sold the house they were living at. Well, they didn't get to sell their house and now they live in there new house and the house that they moved from still has to have their monthly mortgage paid.

Of course they could not pay both, but at the time they will use all their remaining money to save both houses, then after awhile they could not keep it up and they lose the first house and credit is shot.

Now days I don't care about credit scores as I only want to pay in cash for things and I would rather I buy things used in working condition as I am a pretty frugal guy.

So Chase wants me to refinance. I don't want to get caught in a deal where I can lose my house and I don't want to be in a loan where they force me to get certain types of insurance.

So I will ignore the email, but I thought I can write my thoughts about things as these.
